Melvyn....

Twin brother of Kelvin. Left Dublin after a massive row with his father over a gambling debt that his father found out about (and had, in fact, been helping Melvyn pay off). Melvyn was unable to pay due to his addiction and he ran away. His father kept it a secret and didn't tell anyone that he knew anything about his disappearance. Melvyn eventually returned to Ireland after news reached him that his father had died. He married Kelvin's wife after Kelvin committed suicide and adopted Tin who was Moira's and Kelvin's only child. Melvyn turned into a violent man and became an alcoholic. He physically and mentally abused Moira (and Tin) and, after she left him, he was imprisoned for a time for causing GBH to another female. He stalked Moira after she left him and before he was arrested and charged with GBH. Shortly after he was released from prison he went after Moira and murdered her. He was subsequently arrested and charged and was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole.
